rendering of protein

UT researchers are developing protein and peptide-based therapies to treat a wide range of diseases. We are developing antimicrobial peptides to combat antimicrobial resistant biothreat pathogens as well as developing nasal-based microbe neuromodulator delivery systems for in situ production of therapeutic peptides.

Researchers in our labs are synthesizing peptide-chemotherapy agent conjugates to treat pancreatic cancer and leveraging novel proteins as therapies for traumatic brain injury and as cargo carriers to treat brain cancers.
